I’ve been doing this web thing for 15 years now – since 1995.

As a Client-Side Developer, I specialize in XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. I pay special attention to User Interface Design and best practices in User Experience. I write semantic XHTML 1.0 Strict code and take pride in having my XHTML and CSS validate against the W3C standard(s). I’m interested in tomorrow’s technologies, keeping myself knowledgeable on the emerging HTML5 and CSS3 specifications. My JavaScript talents are mainly related to DOM manipulation and AJAX, (I’m still honing my skills with regular expressions). I also have experience w/ many of the popular frameworks, such as MooTools, jQuery, Prototype, Scriptaculous, etc.

As a Project Manager, I have been in charge of many web projects. Being the client-side “monkey-in-the-middle”, I fell into this position easily – as an “integrator” at first – managing design assets from graphic designers and flash developers on the front-end for incorporation into the GUI – and working w/ back-end developers of all sorts on marrying the client-side with robust server-side functionality. Working with clients on specifications and then translating these needs to the development team is something that I am very good at.

As an Entrepreneur, I am the founder and CVO of the web startup, schmedley. I am also currently involved in a number of stealth startups that should reach the general public soon…
