I’ve been doing this web thing for 12 years now - since 1995.
As a Client-Side Developer, I specialize in XHTML, CSS and JavaScript. I pay special attention to User Interface Design and best practices in User Experience. Whenever possible I write XHTML 1.0 Strict and take pride in having my XHTML and CSS validate against the W3C specifications. I’ve recently begun my obsession with semantic markup and employ these techniques in all new projects I take on. My JavaScript talents are mainly related to DOM manipulation and a bit of AJAX, and I am still honing my skills with regular expressions.
As a Project Manager I have overseen many web projects. Being the client-side “monkey-in-the-middle”, I fell into this position easily - as an “integrator” at first - managing design assets from graphic designers and flash developers on the front-end for incorporation into the GUI - and working w/ back-end developers of all sorts on marrying the client-side with robust server-side functionality. Working with clients on specifications and then translating these needs to the development team is something that I am very comfortable doing.
As an Entrepreneur I am one of the founders / managing director / CVO of a hot new Web 2.0 startup - schmedley.
